Aktuelle Roadmaps gehen von optischen Technolo- gien als das zukünftige Rückgrat der Kurzstreckenverbindungen bei einer Vielzahl von Anwendungen aus [1]. Insbesondere in Bezug auf Energieeffizienz (mW/Gbps) [2] und Bandbreiten Dichte (Gbps/mm2) [3] sind optische Verbindungen gegenüber ihren elektrischen Pendants im Vorteil. Für die Etablierung optischer Kurz- und Mittelstreckenverbindungen ist es allerdings notwendig, neue Aufbau- und Verbindungstechnik sowie neue Fertigungstechnologien zu entwickeln.//
Current roadmaps are based on optical technologies as the future backbone of short-haul connections for a variety of applications [1]. Especially with regard to energy efficiency (mW/Gbps) [2] and bandwidth density (Gbps/mm2) [3], optical connections have an advantage over their electrical counterparts. For the establishment of optical short- and medium-range connections, however, it is necessary to develop new assembly and connection technologies as well as new manufacturing technologies.
