Korrelation von Analysemethoden

Unter dem Ausdruck „korrelative Mikroskopie" versteht man eine Verbindung zwischen den mikroskopischen Methoden der Licht- (LM) und der Rasterelektronenmikroskopie (REM). Am Institute of Materials and Process Engineering (ZHAW, Winterthur, Schweiz) wurde die korrelative Mikroskopie nun so stark erweitert, dass es möglich wurde, weitere Analysemethoden in eine „korrelative Analytik" einzubinden. Deshalb soll die erweiterte Methode hier anschaulich anhand verschiedener Beispiele dargelegt werden. Diese Methode macht es möglich, ein und dieselbe Stelle einer Probe mit unterschiedlichen Analysemethoden zu untersuchen. Der Fokus dieses Beitrags liegt auf dem enormen Potential, die Methode selber wird nur soweit behandelt, wie es für das Verständnis der Beispiele nötig ist.//
The term „correlative microscopy" is defined as a combination of the microscopic methods of visual light and of scanning electron microscopy. Research at the Institute of Materials and Process Engineering (ZHAW, Winterthur, Switzerland) has extended correlative microscopy to a degree that it is now possible to integrate further analytical methods in a „correlative analytics." We are presenting this extended method here in an easily understandable way based on various examples. The new method will enable us to investigate the same area of a probe with different analytical methods. The focus of the article is on the enormous potential. The method itself is discussed only insofar as it is essential for the understanding of the examples used.
