Thermografie: Forschung an MEMS-Mikroantrieben

Mikroelektromechanische Systeme (MEMS) bieten eine Vielzahl von Anwendungsmöglichkeiten auf dem Gebiet der Nanotechnologie. Die Lageerkennung von Mobiltelefonen oder der Einsatz in Airbags, Digitalkameras oder Herzschrittmachern sind Alltagsbeispiele. Weitere Applikationen sind vor allem im Bereich miniaturisierter medizinischer Diagnostik zu finden. An der TU Chemnitz arbeitet ein Forschungsteam an solchen MEMS-Antrieben und setzt dazu Thermografie ein. Das ermöglicht Einblicke und Optimierungen bei thermischen Mikroantrieben.
Microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) offer a wide range of possible applications in the field of nanotechnology. The position recognition of cell phones or the use in airbags, digital cameras or pacemakers are everyday examples. Further applications can be found especially in the field of miniaturized medical diagnostics. At the TU Chemnitz, a research team is working on such MEMS drives using thermography. This enables insights and optimizations in thermal microdrives.
