The Metostat ESD film from Asmetec is a high-strength transparent polyester film with a dissipative surface coating that is suitable for making window panes, art glass panes and other flat, smooth and insulating surfaces electrostatically dissipative. The antistatic film also has minimal triboelectric charging behavior and therefore offers very good electrostatic discharge behavior.
The film must be earthed to dissipate the electrostatic charge. This can be done using an earthed metal rail, a metal strip, ESD brushes or other suitable earthing means. The antistatic film can also be copied, has limited abrasion resistance and, thanks to its excellent transparency and chemical resistance, is ideal for use in electronics production, clean rooms, PCB production and, of course, in ESD work areas. The ESD film is also available as a non-adhesive and a one-sided self-adhesive version. The self-adhesive film is therefore very easy to apply. It is available in the following delivery forms:
- Standard length: 122 cm wide, 10 m long
- as customized rolls
(lengths up to 100 meters) - as roll sections (122 cm wide, length from 1 m, then staggered by 50 cm)
- as a DIN A4 cut (sample).
