JUKI Automation Systems, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, held an Open Day at its premises in Nuremberg to provide information about new products and its expanded range. The new COO Rui Vidal also introduced himself at this event.
Inspecting the newly assembled PCB with an AOI system that combines 2D and 3D inspection technology in one machine and has integrated closed-loop technologyJUKIAutomation Systems sells SMT manufacturing solutions (placement machines, inspection systems (SPI and AOI), automatic storage systems for electronic components, software, paste printers, reflow soldering systems, handling modules) for the electronics industry and has customers in the EMS, automotive, industrial and consumer electronics sectors. From its European headquarters in Nuremberg, the company distributes its SMT solutions, which are tailored to customer requirements, throughout Europe.
The Open Day focused on 'Masterly Electronics Production'. Among other things, there was live production on a complete SMT line as well as several product demos and a partner exhibition. JUKI's partners are GKG Asia (Singapore), JT Universa (Singapore), Essegi System Service (Creazzo, Italy), Cogiscan (Bromont, Canada), Electro Design (Gimo, Sweden) and Inertec Löttechnik (Kreuzwertheim, Germany). Their products are sold and serviced by JUKI Automation Systems.
The general focus of the Open Day was on
- Smart Factory Solutions
- Quality assurance and traceability
- Sustainable production concepts
- Supply chain optimization
The implementation was explained at the individual stations.
Live assembly with the SMT line and the presentation of JUKI solutions for quality assurance and material management took place in the demo center. In the adjoining meeting room, the new flexible LX-8 high-speed placement machine was presented as a game changer. THT assembly was demonstrated in the Tokyo training room. JUKI's software solutions were also explained in each case. These can be used to realize a diverse networked data exchange for the Smart Factory. Thanks to the modular software concept, production processes can be further automated and better networked, resulting in increased productivity.
With the Open Day, JUKI Automation Systems showed that not only the hardware on offer, right through to handling, is powerful and offers unique selling points, but also JUKI's own software solutions for every process step. These software solutions can be connected to external software systems and integrated into existing machinery.
And at the Open Day, visitors had plenty of opportunity to talk to the experts about the details of the machines and software as well as the range of services on offer.
