DELO, a manufacturer of industrial adhesives headquartered in Windach near Munich, has launched a new pneumatic dispensing valve, the DOT-RE. This valve uses a vacuum effect at the end of a dispensing cycle to reverse the flow of adhesive and prevent dripping.
According to the manufacturer, the retraction valve dispenses adhesive droplets bubble-free down to a minimum volume of 0.09 µl. This is significantly less than with commercially available retraction valves or direct adhesive application from cartridges. The standard deviation is less than 3 % and thus corresponds to the level of high-quality jet valves. With a size of just 33 × 25 × 112 (mm), the pneumatic dispensing valve can be integrated into numerous production lines.
