The new CD10.242 DC/DC converter from Puls converts a DC input voltage of 48 V into a potential-free, stabilized and galvanically isolated SELV/PELV output voltage of 24 V (safety extra-low voltage / protective extra-low voltage). The converter has an output of 240 W (DC 48 V to DC 24 V, 10 A) and is very energy-efficient: the efficiency is 94 %. This allows energy costs to be saved. The slim design with a width of 42 mm of the DIN rail mountable device also creates more space in the application environment.
CD10.242 offers power reserves of 20 %, which can be used continuously at ambient temperatures of up to +45 °C. If a higher total output is required, several units can be connected in parallel. For this application, the devices have a mode for parallel operation that enables efficient load distribution. A DC-OK LED and a signaling contact provide information about the status of the device. The DC/DC converter is suitable for almost any application. This is ensured by its high immunity to transients and overvoltages as well as its low electromagnetic emissions.
