Omron is expanding its portfolio of sealed power relays with a 36 A model that complements the existing 16 A and 20 A options. The new sealed type G6QE-1A4 extends the existing G6QE relay range for flux protection.
The G6QE family is capable of opening and closing large circuits up to 36 A and can also handle inverter loads. The G6QE-1A4 offers high switching capacity up to 480 VAC, 36 A in a compact format of 30.5mm x 16mm x 20.5mm (LxWxH).
Energy-saving features result from an approx. 12 % reduction in power consumption compared to the rated consumption of the coil, due to the holding voltage of the coil (35 % of the rated coil voltage).
Safety is ensured by the IEC/EN60079-15 standards, which provide for explosion-proof use, with sealed units using e.g. refrigerants being redesigned for use with flammable, environmentally friendly refrigerants to reduce environmental impact.
Commercial heating and cooling systems, heat pumps and commercial refrigerators require a higher control current of 16 A or more and must be equipped with sealed relays. Further energy savings are made possible by low coil consumption, which is achieved by the reduced holding voltage.
