The T5 tubes from Asmetec contain LEDs that do not emit light below 500 nm. This makes them ideal for use in yellow rooms. The T5 tubes with UV filter are a more durable alternative to conventional fluorescent tubes. The circuit board of the yellow room tube is also integrated with temperature monitoring so that it switches off in the event of overheating. Furthermore, the T5 tubes offer a significantly longer service life compared to conventional fluorescent tubes and up to 50% lower energy consumption.
The yellow room tubes can be easily replaced with the existing T5 fluorescent tubes without rewiring the luminaires.
However, the yellow tubes require a single electronic ballast in order to function. The T5 tube must never be connected directly to 230 VAC.
Therefore, the T5 tube should be selected according to the suitable electronic ballast and not according to length.
The LED tubes are available in lengths of 517 mm, 549 mm, 849 mm, 1149 mm and 1449 mm. These yellow tubes run smoothly on 230 VAC.
