From May 1, 2022, Christian Schweizer (40) will head the Central Service department at Viscom AG, replacing Henning Obloch (63). His area of responsibility also includes field service - an important element of customer satisfaction, as the company emphasizes.
Schweizer is a graduate engineer and has gained a wealth of experience in the areas of project and product management as well as process automation and production management. He is now bringing this experience to his new role, for example to further advance the digital networking of the Hanover-based AOI/AXI provider's service products. An additional MBA degree rounds off his skills beyond the technical.
Following his participation in the smtconnect trade fair in Nuremberg (Viscom stand 4A-120), his predecessor Obloch is retiring from the company in the partial retirement phase.
The Service division was created in 2008 and has been under the management of Henning Obloch from the outset. Since then, he has steadily expanded the area of responsibility. In order to ensure a smooth handover, Christian Schweizer has been working at Viscom since the beginning of 2022, was thoroughly trained by Obloch and has already visited numerous European customers.
The scope of services provided by Viscom AG's Service department also includes the provision of competent technicians for all relevant service tasks, such as maintenance, conversions, retrofits, repairs and the rapid supply of spare parts. The division, which currently has around 30 employees, is responsible for Europe and works closely with colleagues from Viscom's Customer Care Teams (CCT), which were created in 2020. It is also networked with Viscom's French and non-European subsidiaries, which are located in the USA, Mexico, Singapore, China and India, for all questions relating to optimum customer support.
