Schneider Electric has acquired EcoAct, an international provider of climate consulting and net-zero solutions. The transaction was completed after consultation with the relevant employee representatives and approval by the regulatory authorities.
With the acquisition, Schneider Electric is expanding its portfolio of consulting services tailored to sustainable and energy-efficient business practices. The primary aim of the takeover is to combine the expertise of the two companies. As a specialist in climate-neutral business, EcoAct offers consulting services for companies in various sectors to help them achieve their climate protection goals. This includes, for example, climate data tools or the development of climate protection projects. With the takeover, Schneider Electric is expanding its range of services to include advice on energy management, renewable energies, environmentally friendly raw material procurement and the assessment of climate risks, thereby supporting the strategic definition of climate targets and their achievement.
