On July 1, 2024, the software provider Vector Informatik acquired the measurement technology manufacturer CMS from Filderstadt. After a long collaboration with Vector Informatik, CSM Computer-Systeme-Messtechnik is now part of the Vector Group.
Together, the two companies develop complete solutions comprising hardware and software for measurement technology applications. CSM will continue its business activities independently after the takeover. CSM manufactures distributed and robust measurement technology for vehicles and thus contributes to the global transition to electric drive systems. The company has been developing solutions for recording various analog variables since 1983. More than 100 employees currently work on development, production and customer interfaces at the headquarters near Stuttgart and in international branches.
With the takeover, the business will continue after the retirement of the founding and managing director couple Iris and Dr. Winfried Koch. Dr. Stefan Krauß, who has been with Vector since 2002, has been the new Managing Director of CSM since 1 July 2024.
Vector has long been a manufacturer for the development of software-based electronic systems and employs over 4,500 people worldwide - at its headquarters in Stuttgart-Weilimdorf and in other branches in the USA, Great Britain, Japan, China and South Korea, among others. The products developed jointly with CSM, e.g. the Vector CSM e-mobility measurement system, perform a wide range of coordinated measurement tasks in vehicle development.
