The distributor Rutronik Elektronische Bauelemente and the Viennese company Cherry Embedded Solutions have concluded a Europe-wide distribution agreement. This expands the distributor's portfolio of Rockchip-based system-on-modules (SOMs) and single-board computers (SBCs), particularly for customers in the robotics, digital healthcare, smart retail, digital signage and smart video surveillance sectors.
Cherry's modules are characterized above all by their application-specific performance and cost efficiency. They are designed and manufactured in Vienna and are certified according to the Common Criteria for Information Technology Security Evaluation (ISO/IEC 15408). The modules are tailored for use in autonomous mobile robots or intelligent medical devices, among other things.
Cherry's core products include the JAGUAR SBC-RK3588-AMR single board computer (SBC), which was developed for the mass production of autonomous mobile robots (AMR), and the TIGER SOM-RK3588-Q7, which is suitable for the requirements of intelligent IoT applications. Both products are based on Rockchip's high-end RK3588 SoC with low power consumption and cryptographic enhancements, which also supports deep learning frameworks and interfaces with multiple high-resolution cameras.
