Indium has established a distribution partnership with German company InnoJoin GmbH to provide a focused and faster service to customers in Europe and across the EMEA region for its NanoFoil products. Indium continues to manufacture its large uncoated NanoFoil sheets and has them coated and customized by the Bremen-based laser welding partner. InnoJoin is responsible for the delivery of all NanoFoil products from Indium in Europe.
With NanoFoil, Indium offers a multilayer foil material that acts as a pyrotechnic trigger for two reactive materials. In soldering applications, it serves as a heat source for joining two layers with NanoFoil as an intermediate layer. NanoFoil is considered a consistent and cost-effective material that achieves repeatable and reliable bonding. Applications include semiconductor manufacturing, aerospace, defense, automotive and biomedical. NanoFoil is available in thicknesses of 40 and 60 µm. The previously offered 80 and 100 µm versions are no longer available.
