IPC renews partnership with Weiss Engineering to analyze the EMS industry

The US industry association IPC and the German company in4ma (Weiss Engineering) have agreed to extend their cooperation. It covers the analysis of data about and for the European electronics industry.

Weiss Engineering has been analyzing the EMS market since 2004, initially in the DACH region and since 2015 in Europe. Weiss searches company registers and media, checks homepages and talks directly to companies. In this way, Weiss helps EMS companies to gain an overview of the market and the competition with benchmarks. Philippe Leonard, Senior Director IPC European Operations, says: "Dieter Weiss is an excellent ambassador for the European EMS industry. We are working with him on the further development of electronics manufacturing."

IPC focuses on key vertical markets such as automotive, defense, industrial, energy and medical electronics and their standards development, training content and advocacy. "in4ma's (Weiss Engineering] market statistics on the European EMS industry have become an important part of the strategic planning of many European electronics manufacturing companies," explains Sanjay Huprikar, President Europe and South Asia at IPC. "Our partnership with Dieter will enable the creation of more innovative tools, studies and analysis that will provide our members with better opportunities for financial success."

IPC is a global industry association based in Bannockburn, Illinois, with approximately 3,000 member companies in the electronics design, PCB manufacturing, assembly and test industries. IPC is involved in industry standards, training, market research and public relations. IPC Europe has an office in Brussels.
