Printed circuit boards and other electronic components can be inspected from a distance of up to 100 m using the RemoteMOI XL inspection station from senswork, as the inspection system is equipped with a digital microscope that can be operated remotely. The manual optical inspection of electronic components can therefore be carried out in a more time and cost-efficient manner, with fewer personnel required.
The inspection of large PCBs in particular is often time-consuming, as they have to be repositioned several times by hand. The employee normally stands directly next to the microscope. With the new inspection station, however, the PCB remains in position, e.g. on the production line. Instead, an employee positions the microscope over the desired position on the PCB using an X/Y axis system, which is connected to a joystick. The high-resolution full HD image is transmitted live to a monitor up to 100 m away. A maximum of 3 memory positions can be saved in the X and Y directions.
Centralized testing means that one employee can operate several production lines. This avoids idle times, among other things. The test station can be moved to a location outside the production area, eliminating noise pollution or clean room conditions during testing.
The inspection system enables simple documentation of the image data. The digital microscope offers user-friendly options such as zoom and different lighting settings. Other camera parameters can also be adjusted remotely.
