Owner-managed EMS with a high equity ratio and vertical integration Kraus continues to invest in the future.
The equity ratio of Kraus Hardware GmbH in Großostheim/Ringheim was 85.95% as at December 31, 2019 - the average in Germany is 31%. Since its foundation, Kraus has continuously built up a high level of vertical integration - including special processes - which has ensured delivery performance in important areas for several customers, especially during the lockdown phase. "Today, we have all the relevant technologies in-house," says Managing Partner Andreas Kraus matter-of-factly. "We have standardized the internal decision-making processes and, as a result, work with very short paths and react correspondingly quickly. The employees identify with the company and feel comfortable, are inventive and also make a significant contribution to driving forward developments and holding our own against the competition."
Investment in cable assembly in component production
Stripping and crimping in seconds"We have continuously invested in our employees and our technical equipment on a secure basis in recent years". An almost 17-year collaboration with a multinational company is now being extended on a longer-term basis and expanded to include an already rudimentary area of cable assembly. The already strong position in the production of electronic assemblies with mechanics and machining is now being expanded with one or two cable assembly work steps including procurement, assembly and test application and all related processes are being optimized.
Accordingly, three additional machines have been added to the cable production area. A stripper-crimper for processing demanding cable and insulation materials, a wire stripper with a 4X blade rotary head that reduces the production time for high-precision stripping, cutting and twisting while ensuring a high level of quality. The new electric cut-to-length machine for cable, stranded wire and other materials is designed for sample and series production. As a specialist for all-round perfect electronic assemblies, Kraus Hardware GmbH offers a further building block for EMS services from a single source.
