The developer of foil sensors accensors and the producer of electronic components GED (Gesellschaft für Elektronik und Design) are entering into a strategic partnership.
The aim of the partnership is to develop new types of sensor systems that can be used in medical technology, for example. With their expertise and experience in sensor technology and electronics, the partners can work together to implement customer projects as well as in-house developments more quickly and efficiently and bring them to market maturity. Trends in the electronics industry will also be jointly observed and analyzed.
The launch of the partnership will take one of the previous joint projects to the next stage of development. Working together, the companies have developed an intelligent patch, a so-called smart patch, to apply intelligent sensor technology to the skin. Here, accensors and GED are now taking the next steps towards a first medical product. The two companies are also cooperating on the demanding approval process in accordance with the MDR (Medical Device Regulation).
