The Swiss Printed Circuit Board Association (VLS) was founded in Appenzell on February 14. The association replaces the PCB specialist group in the Swiss Society for Surface Technology (SGO) and has set itself the goal of further networking Swiss PCB manufacturers and keeping users and suppliers up to date with the latest developments and trends at events.
The founding meeting was attended by members of five leading companies in the Swiss PCB industry, who make up the association's board: Cicor, Dyconex, GS, Hofstetter, Optiprint and Varioprint. According to VLS President Pascal Oberson (Optiprint), the association intends to represent the interests of PCB manufacturers from Switzerland, Austria and Germany independently.

With immediate effect, the association will organize the traditional annual PCB seminar in Uitikon near Zurich. In future, the event will be called 'Forum PCB Switzerland' and will offer the opportunity to exchange experiences and network. In 2024, the forum will take place on October 8. The VLS cordially invites all interested parties to take part in this exciting new chapter in the Swiss PCB industry.
