The VDI Wissensforum is thus reacting to the current situation in connection with the spread of Covid-19 and is following the Federal Government's stipulation of March 16 that a nationwide ban on events at public educational institutions outside of schools must come into force immediately.
The VDI Wissensforum is currently working hard to find alternative dates or digital solutions. The first events are already being converted to webinars. The VDI Wissensforum expressly supports the Federal Government's decision to cancel all face-to-face events under the current circumstances in order to break potential chains of infection and effectively contain the spread.
As soon as alternative dates or digital solutions have been determined, employees will contact all booked participants by telephone to inform them of the new date or, if necessary, to find individual solutions. All affected customers have received or will receive an email with all important information. New information will also be posted on the Wissensforum website and the event pages. Replacement dates have already been set for three events:
- 29th German Material Flow Congress (MFK), July 8-9, 2020, Munich
- Plastics In Automotive Engineering (PIAE), July 28-29, 2020, Mannheim
- 'Measurement and reduction of mercury emissions', July 7-8, Würzburg
Independently of the efforts to offer courses that have already been booked digitally, the VDI Wissensforum has been offering a regular online learning program since autumn 2019. Anyone who would like to continue their education now can switch to the technical online courses in the field of agile software projects in automotive engineering. The new e-learning offer from the VDI Wissensforum is designed to enable learners to understand and professionally manage agile software projects in the field of networked vehicles.
