Peter Winkel ist ausgebildeter Physiklaborant und Dipl.-Ing. Technische Chemie. In seiner beruflichen Laufbahn war der Berliner u. a. 21 Jahre lang im "Referat für Oberflächentechnik und Abwasserfragen" von Siemens mit der Entwicklung von Galvanikanlagen und -chemie betraut.
