Degreasing is one of the most important steps in surface treatment, and the creation of a surface suitable for electroplating is one of the essential foundations for the deposition of adhesive, uniform and corrosion-resistant coatings.
In this book, the author does not consider the formation process separately, but always from the perspective of electroplating suitability. Avoidable causes of possible sources of error are discussed and the relationships between the material and the binding forces of the grease are highlighted.
The book begins by discussing the condition and changes to the material surface, then moves on to the bonding forces and how the material and greasing are created. Finally, degreasing is discussed with the aid of impressive photos, with a special chapter devoted to boiling degreasing. Finally, test methods for the degreasing effect are described, which are particularly important and instructive for avoiding sources of error.
