This paperback provides the basics for setting up an electroforming plant and is primarily a guide to the manufacture of injection and die-cast moulds.
The basics of the process and the electrolytes are discussed in the introduction. One chapter is devoted to the models, their materials and the application of conductive surfaces to non-conductive models. The separation processes and the galvanic working method are discussed in detail, as is the so-called backing of the electroforming moulds.
After describing the necessary equipment, economic considerations and costs are addressed.
