Until the mid-1990s, intensive research funding was provided in Germany in the field of corrosion. Since then, there have only been isolated publications in this area. Above all, there is a lack of comprehensive, modern presentation of corrosion knowledge. This book aims to fill that gap.
The book is aimed at engineers working in mechanical engineering, apparatus engineering and related fields. For practitioners, it is not enough to simply be given recipes for corrosion protection. They also need to understand how damage occurs and what factors play a role in this process.
