Polarizing filters from Optometron simplify optical QA

In the optical quality control of shiny surfaces, such as metals or polished components, unwanted reflections often occur, which make inspection more difficult. Polarization filters provide a remedy here. They effectively eliminate light reflections and enable faster and more reliable quality inspection.

Optometron has expanded its range of filters and now offers polarization filters for all ring illuminators. These make quality control with optical devices such as microscopes much easier. Where previously only a bright reflection could be seen, the surface of the test specimen with possible scratches and defects is now clearly visible. The tedious, reflection-reducing alignment of the test specimen is also no longer necessary.

Optometron's illumination range includes ring illumination of all light colors from UV to IR. In addition to rings, transmitted light, coaxial, dark field and telecentric illuminators are available for continuous light and flash applications. Lenses that concentrate the light at the desired working distance can also be used to optimize light yield and save energy.
