Delo has introduced a new LED lamp for curing UV adhesives with the DELOLUX 504 point light source. Thanks to the latest generation of UV LEDs, it achieves three times the intensity of its predecessor model. It was developed in particular for high-speed production in the electronics and automotive industries, where the exposure of small areas and good integration into systems are required.
The maximum intensity of 4000 mW/cm² at a wavelength of 365 nm has two advantages for users: The higher intensity means that UV adhesives can be cured faster, which enables shorter cycle times. In addition, the lamp can be placed further away, as a high intensity compensates for the physically induced power reduction that occurs with increasing distance. A greater working distance offers more flexibility for integration into production lines.
The new point light source has the same fixing points, light emission geometry and beam characteristics as its predecessor. Existing systems can therefore be converted with very little effort. Another advantage is the separable connecting cable. This means that the lamp head can be replaced at the end of its service life, for example, without having to dismantle the entire system.
