Cr(VI) properties obtained with SLOTOCHROM

Cr(VI) properties obtained with SLOTOCHROM

The new EU regulation on the use of chromium(VI) in electroplating processes poses major challenges for manufacturers of electroplating chemicals. Despite the switch to Cr(III) compounds, the desired properties of Cr(VI) coatings should still be retained. These include, for example, the typical bluish color of chrome-plated components and high corrosion resistance with the appropriate coating thickness. Easy handling should also ensure reliable results.

Thanks to our newly developed Cr(III) process SLOTOCHROM BC 4130, we are also equipped to meet the highest demands for bright, color-stable chrome coatings for components of all kinds in the future.

SLOTOCHROM BC 4130 is particularly suitable for decorative coatings. The use of the 2-component system has proven itself in a wide range of applications as well as in waste water treatment.

In addition to the excellent color results, SLOTOCHROM BC 4130 was developed with a specific focus on sustainability in terms of occupational safety and environmental protection and is characterized by PFOS (PFT)-free wetting agents.
