Dr. Richard Suchentrunk, born in 1943, received his doctorate from the Technical University of Vienna and was head of surface technology in the materials laboratory at Airbus GmbH in Ottobrunn and later also at Daimler Research. He is the author of numerous publications in the fields of surface treatment and coating of plastics and composites using electrochemical, physical and plasma-chemical processes. For many years, he has also been the editor of the thin-film and plasma technology section of the specialist journal Galvanotechnik published by Eugen G. Leuze Verlag.
