Modern industrial cleaners: efficiency and sustainability redefined - AOTECH

Innovation in industrial metal surface cleaning

In the field of industrial surface cleaning, aqueous-alkaline cleaners have long dominated the pre-treatment of metals. These cleaners combine builders, surfactants and additives, which together maximize the effectiveness and performance of the cleaner.

The Modern Cleaner System

However, the use of these traditional cleaners is increasingly subject to environmental concerns, particularly due to the hazardous chemicals they contain.

The "Modern Cleaner System" developed by MKS' Atotech marks a milestone in industrial cleaning. The system is based on an additive package (Uni-Clean A101) and a builder package (UniClean B201). These products deliberately avoid problematic chemicals such as phosphates, hard chelators and amines. By operating at low temperatures of up to 35 °C, the system significantly reduces energy consumption and CO2 emissions, thus contributing to more sustainable production.

Versatility and performance

The mildly alkaline UniClean A101 and Uni-Clean B201 cleaners offer remarkable versatility. They can be used as emulsifying immersion cleaners and are suitable for ultrasonic operation. Their advanced oil degradation and easy conductivity control ensure excellent cleaning results and extend the life of the degreasing bath. The flexible combination of UniClean A101 and UniClean B201 in different ratios and concentrations enables customized solutions for a wide range of requirements and metals, including steel, stainless steel, copper, brass and zinc.

Sustainable cleaning at low temperatures

Traditionally, industrial cleaners, especially hot degreasers, require high temperatures for effective results. However, the new UniClean A101 / B201 product generation enables efficient cleaning at extremely low temperatures. These cleaners deliver equivalent cleaning performance with identical cleaning times as conventional products. They ensure thorough removal of contaminants with reduced energy consumption and environmental impact, but still offer a reliable and cost-effective solution for industrial applications with comparable performance.

Extending bath life and reducing maintenance costs

Extended degreasing life is crucial for efficient and cost-effective cleaning processes. Modern cleaners such as the UniClean A101/ B201 system promote the breakdown of organic soiling, which significantly extends the life of the bath. Special equipment such as UniPrep ISOtect also supports this process.

Conclusion

The introduction of the Modern Cleaner Toolbox from MKS' Atotech with UniClean A101 and UniClean B201 offers flexibility and cost efficiency for industrial cleaning processes.

These products set new standards in terms of sustainability and efficiency and enable the production of highly concentrated cleaning agents for a wide range of industrial applications.
