WRC World Resources Company GmbH built a state-of-the-art production hall in recognition of the fact that everyone is becoming increasingly aware of the need to conserve resources and protect the environment, and the associated growing demand for ways to recycle other types of waste.
The energy-efficient plant, which went into operation in March of this year with funding from the Free State of Saxony, makes it possible to shred and homogenize even hard-brittle materials such as slag, crucibles, dross, furnace scrap or catalysts so that they can then be processed into metal concentrates free of residual materials in the thermal processes. Recyclable materials from the fields of electromobility and photovoltaics can also be recycled.
Metal-containing waste should not end up as hazardous waste in landfill or incineration; it must remain in the materials cycle. WRC has been committed to this worldwide for almost 50 years. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the opening of the production plant in Wurzen. With innovative solutions, customer-oriented service and flexible logistics, WRC relieves the environment of negative industrial impacts and contributes to climate protection.
