The StrongIRFET 2 power MOSFETs in 80 and 100 V versions are the latest generation of this MOSFET technology from Infineon. They are suitable for a wide range of applications - for both low and high switching frequencies. The new technology offers a 40% improvement in RDS(on) and over 50% lower gate charge (Qg) compared to the previous StrongIRFET devices. The higher power efficiency ensures improved overall system performance.
Higher rated currents enable a higher current carrying capacity. This eliminates the need to connect multiple devices in parallel, resulting in lower BOM costs and savings on the PCB. Different package types (TO-220 FullPAK, from 2022 also D2PAK, D2PAK 7-pin and DPAK) offer the right StrongIRFET 2 selection for almost all requirements.
These robust power MOSFETs are suitable for a wide range of consumer applications such as power adapters, televisions, power tools and garden equipment as well as industrial and automotive applications such as robotics, motor drives, battery management and light electric vehicles such as e-scooters.
