New method of wastewater treatment reduces costs sustainably

As a pioneer in liquid movement using nozzle systems, Serfilco has developed a cost-cutting method for wastewater treatment with innovative partners. This approach completely eliminates the need for costly agitators. Nevertheless, excellent results are achieved. In addition to companies from the surface technology sector, paper mills, for example, are now also using the method with resounding success.

For over 50 years, Serfilco has been an important supplier to the surface coating industry, i.e. in electroplating (on metal and plastic), aluminium coating (anodizing, powder, paint), hot-dip galvanizing and in the printed circuit board industry. The specialists for robust pumps and filter systems for chemically aggressive and corrosive liquids are considered pioneers in the field of liquid movement with nozzle systems. With nozzles produced in-house, specific flow characteristics and decades of experience, Serfilco is now one of the market leaders.

Serfilco nozzle systems have been used for a long time to increase efficiency in cleaning and degreasing baths as well as in pickling and electroplating baths. Such nozzle systems support the process extremely effectively, especially with difficult component geometries. "Serfilco's SerDuctor nozzle systems are now also being used in waste water treatment, replacing the usually expensive and often repair-prone agitators," explains Walter Masur, Head of Sales and Marketing at the Serfilco Group's German subsidiary. As a pump is essential for pumping out or transferring anyway, the nozzle systems do not incur any extra costs. By saving on agitators, the investing companies usually even achieve a considerable cost advantage right from the start. When planning and optimally designing such systems, the experts at Serfilco support both plant manufacturers and user companies with the practical experience gained from thousands of implemented agitation systems.

For the water/waste water sector, Serfilco offers a wide range of normal and self-priming plastic and stainless steel pumps. Special temperature-resistant units for process temperatures of up to 160 °C are available for hot media.
