E2S Warning Signals, manufacturer of warning signaling devices for industrial, marine and hazardous areas, is currently launching new SIL1 and SIL2 compliant warning devices.
The D1x, GNEx, STEx, AlertAlarm and AlertAlight product ranges, which include alarm sounders, LED and xenon strobe lights as well as combined audible and visual warning signaling devices, are now SIL1 and SIL2 compliant as standard. The sounders are approved worldwide.
As compliance is achieved in a 1oo1 architecture, no redundancy or duplication of devices is required.
In addition to the standard SIL1 and SIL2 compliance described above, the unique E2S SIL2 diagnostic module can be included in the specification to provide a solution for safety systems requiring warning signals with active diagnostics and SIL2 compliance via path 1H in a 1oo1 configuration. The module is factory integrated into the signaling electronics, allowing the diagnostic circuit to evaluate the audible or visual signal output. Any detected power supply failure and any non-activated event is reported to the control system via the output of the diagnostic relay.
The E2S safety systems for manual release in glass breakage and push-button versions with tool reset, short-time and double actuation are also SIL1 and SIL2-compliant as standard.
