The SYNOTHERM® coated plate heat exchangers have a metallic base body.
The compact, lightweight and pressure-resistant design of the metal base body ensures a long service life and high operational reliability of the heat exchanger.
A fluoropolymer coating is applied to the metallic surface in a multi-stage coating process. The absence of pores in the coating is carefully checked using a 100% test.
The coating gives SYNOTHERM® plate heat exchangers very high chemical resistance and excellent non-stick properties, thus fulfilling two crucial requirements for use in chemical apparatus engineering. They are suitable for controlling the temperature of highly acidic process liquids.
The anti-adhesive fluoropolymer coating ensures homogeneous heat transfer and constant process conditions when incrustations, caking and deposits restrict the heat transfer capacity of heat exchangers. Fluoropolymers have significantly better heat transfer properties than other coating materials. The incrustation tendency of highly incrusting media such as zinc phosphates is significantly reduced.
Easy cleaning and longer maintenance intervals reduce maintenance costs and ensure the long-term availability of the system. Falling parts or sediment cannot be deposited on the heat exchanger body or get caught in it.
The coated plate heat exchangers have a high surface density. This means that a large heat exchanger surface area (inm2) can be provided in relation to the required construction volume (inm3).
The total installation depth (see illustration) is 61 mm (11 mm heat exchanger body + 50 mm spacer to the tank wall). The space saving reduces the size and cost of the tank. More space is available for other components of the tank or system (pumps, fabric windows, etc.).
