New stackable home and commercial storage units

"Although the new storage system is produced in Germany, it is priced in the same range as comparable Chinese storage systems," says Simon Schandert, CTO and co-founder of Tesvolt AG. "We have a major advantage over Chinese storage providers: We offer on-site service and also have all spare parts directly in Wittenberg." In Austria, projects with battery storage systems manufactured in Europe will receive up to 20 percent more funding from June 23. "We assume that other European countries will follow this example," continues Schandert. It is particularly important today that battery storage systems are secure against cyber attacks. This is why chips from Infineon, for example, are used; they offer the highest level of security against cyber attacks on the market. Each battery module has a storage capacity of 6.25 kWh. A total of ten modules can be stacked on top of each other. Up to four battery storage units can be operated in parallel via one inverter. Another advantage: the new battery storage system does not require an active cooling system. The storage system can be operated at outside temperatures of -20 to 50 degrees and is suitable for outdoor use. The Tesvolt Taytan is also robustly built, its metal housing meets the requirements of the high protection class IP55.
