Since the company was founded in 1987, plating electronic has focused on the development of linear controlled desktop rectifiers and compact rectifiers using switching power supply technology.
Initially, the company mainly developed and produced for the German electroplating industry, but as early as 1995 the focus shifted to an international orientation. This international network of sales partnerships and service centers now extends across North America, Asia, Europe and Australia.
Today, more than 100 employees at plating electronic and its partners work on sophisticated customer-specific solutions for sophisticated power supplies in a wide range of applications.
plating electronic is one of the technology leaders and drivers of innovation in direct current and pulsed current sources for electrochemical processes in industry and research. These include electroplating, surface treatment of aluminum, printed circuit board production, water treatment, electrolysis processes and power-to-X applications. For all these fields of application, plating electronic offers customized direct current and pulsed current sources for an optimal power supply for your core processes. The holistic approach covers everything from the assessment of the electrical rectifier connection to the commissioning of power supplies and control systems. This also includes the continuous further and new development of tried-and-tested DC and pulsed power sources in order to meet customer requirements in terms of system availability and system efficiency.
The tried and tested, innovative and proven methods and device technologies are consistently geared towards the requirements of customers and their processes. This makes plating electronic a sought-after supplier of direct current and pulsed current sources for all types of industrial electrochemical processes. This continuous development of products and processes has characterized plating electronic as an innovation driver in the field of industrial power supplies since 1987. These include
- Introduction of air-cooled rectifiers with switching power supply technology in electroplating plants
- 2005: Introduction of digitally controlled rectifiers
- Introduction of water-cooled rectifier cabinets with switched-mode power supply technology up to 10,000A
- 2017: Introduction of silicon carbide (SiC) transistor technology to increase the energy efficiency of rectifiers
- 2019: Introduction of Active Front End (AFE) technology integrated into rectifiers
Investments in research and development, modern production and manufacturing technologies, the use of state-of-the-art components and continuous product development make plating electronic a trendsetter for rectifier and pulse power sources made in Germany.
