On October 30, 2022, a refresher course for wearers of filtering devices will take place at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). Such refresher courses are mandatory for a large number of people who perform safety functions in companies, in this case respiratory protection.
The following topics are covered:
- Function of breathing
- Hazardous substances and their effects
- Filter classification, filter labeling
- Classification of respiratory protective equipment
- Maintenance and care of the equipment
This course in particular is aimed at people who require an update in respiratory protection as part of their job and have already received basic training.
The course lasts 1.5 hours and is held at the site fire station on the north campus of KIT at Hermann von Helmholtz-Platz 1 in Eggenstein-Leopoldshafen. The course fee is 285 euros.
