New milling cutters for hard machining - Hahn+Kolb expands its Atorn RockTec PRO hard milling cutter range to over 800 tools
The tool experts at Hahn+Kolb have expanded the RockTec PRO program, which was successfully launched in 2020. The Atorn RockTec PRO line consists of Japanese ultra-fine grain solid carbide, which is particularly resistant and insensitive to pressure. In addition, the TiAlSiN multilayer coating developed exclusively for Atorn with its extreme hardness, low friction, high temperature resistance and cutting speed ensures wear-resistant tools and optimum milling results. Around 330 new milling cutters in numerous lengths and designs for a wide range of machining tasks have now been added to the existing range. Highlights include mini end mills in various overhang lengths up to 20xD and HPC end mills for a wide range of applications in materials up to 67 HRC. Nine new types, additional overall lengths and radii for torus and radius milling cutters, as well as chamfer milling tools and HPC versions are now part of the range.
