The smaller version of conductive polymer hybrid capacitors from Panasonic's ZS series is now expanding Schukat's SMD portfolio. With a diameter of 10 mm, these capacitors have the same space requirement as the rest of the series, but are available with lower housings of 12.5 mm and 12.8 mm in height.
The rated voltages range from 25 V to 63 V and the capacitances range from 100 µF to 560 µF, with the 63 V variant with 100 µF being the capacitor with the highest capacitance value currently available in this class. The ZS series was developed for the automotive sector and is therefore AEC-Q200 compliant and designed for an operating temperature range of -55 to +120°C. Thanks to its compact size, a low ESR of up to 11 mΩ and a ripple current of 4Arms, it not only saves space, but also improves the filter and DC link circuits in automotive control and powertrain applications. In addition, the capacitors are an ideal replacement for the larger MLCCs and an alternative where space is limited. The ZS series from Panasonic is now also available from Schukat in the sizes 10 x 12.5 mm and 10 x 12.8 mm (as a vibration-resistant version).
