Infineon supports IoT device manufacturers with a highly integrated IoT life-cycle management solution. It is the industry's first solution to combine the 'Secure Microcontroller PSoC 64' with integrated Trusted Firmware-M, the Arm Mbed IoT operating system and the Arm Pelion IoT platform. This allows IoT products to be designed, managed and updated with security in mind. This minimizes the risks of firmware development and accelerates the market launch of new products.
Customized security firmware is not required. The operating software supports Pelion and Mbed and meets the highest security requirements with PSA Level 1 certification. Through the acquisition of Cypress, the PSoC 64 microcontrollers are part of Infineon's semiconductor portfolio.
Pelion Device Management offers secure device management at every stage of the product lifecycle. It comprises a dual-core architecture with a Cortex-M4 core and a Cortex-M0+ core, which is used as a security coprocessor with preconfigured root-of-trust. PSoC 64 is part of the IoT AdvantEdge solution. This simplifies product design by providing robust connectivity combined with security and local processing in one solution. A PSoC 64 Secure Boot Wi-Fi/BT Pioneer Kit is already available for pre-order.
