The latest addition to the RAST connector family (RAST-1.5) from the manufacturer Lumberg in insulation displacement technology (IDC) scores with compact dimensions at rated currents of 1 A (TU 85 °C) and a rated voltage of 48 V, which covers the requirements of numerous applications.
Model 331000 is designed for direct mating to the edge of the PCB and is compatible with PCBs with a thickness of 1.5 ± 0.14 mm. Model 332100 offers direct and indirect mating. All pole numbers from 2 to 12 are available. The conductors that can be connected in the insulation displacement area allow cross-sections from 0.14 to 0.22 mm². The temperature range is -40 °C to +130 °C. Flame retardant to V-0 UL94.
The RAST 1.5 system is 43 % smaller than the next largest member of the family (RAST 2.5; low load currents up to 4 A). The characteristic RAST coding to prevent mismating is available, as is the option of fully automated cable assembly.
