ACD Elektronik is the winner of the iF Design Award 2020

This makes ACD Elektronik one of the winners of the world-renowned design label. The M2Smart mobile handheld computer was awarded the prize in the product discipline/computer category. The prize is awarded once a year by the independent design institution iF International Forum Design in Hanover. This year, the jurors had to choose from 7298 entries from 56 countries.
The handheld computer impressed the 78-member international jury of experts with its innovative and patented modularity. The special feature of the industrial handheld computer is a patented sliding mechanism that allows various modules to be attached quickly and without tools. Modules such as emergency stop buttons, keyboards, RFID readers, temperature sensors, printers and payment modules can also be customized. This significantly reduces the variety of end devices, which saves the user a measurable amount of time and money.
The iF Design Award has been one of the most important design prizes in the world for 67 years. It honors design achievements in all disciplines: product, packaging, communication and service design, architecture and interior design as well as professional concept. All award-winning entries are presented in the iF World Design Guide, published in the iF design app and exhibited at the iF design exhibition in Berlin.
