Awards received for conformal coating systems

Nordson Asymtek, a supplier of dispensing and conformal coating equipment based in Carlsbad, California, was recognized by a Mexican trade publication at the SMTA Conference in Guadalajara in October with an award for the innovative technology of its current products - in this case for the new Qadence Flow Control System. This enables closed-loop flow control in conformal coating with previously unattainable accuracy and highly consistent performance. This is ensured by an improved spray process with flow stabilization for automatic compensation of viscosity changes.
Nordson Asymtek's Panorama S-Line also received an award at productronica 2019 in Munich for its conformal coating process with a very compact footprint, which combines several overlapping processes on the production line and thus minimizes their space requirements. The innovative, patent-pending process shortens the length of the line by 50% by utilizing the lower area of the line for the flash-off process.
"Both awards demonstrate the global significance and technological leadership of Nordson Asymtek products," commented Peter Bierhuis, President of Nordson Asymtek. "Conformal coating has become an essential step in microelectronics manufacturing, especially in automotive electronics where the elimination of electronic malfunctions is absolutely critical. Our new Panorama system addresses the need for consistent and high quality conformal coating with a cost-effective machine-to-machine solution."
