At the end of May 2022, the Senate of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft elected three board members for the new executive divisions of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft: Prof. Axel Müller-Groeling, currently Director of the Fraunhofer Institute for Silicon Technology ISIT and acting Director of the Fraunhofer Institute for Microelectronic Circuits and Systems IMS, will take over the Research Infrastructures and Digitization division.

The Executive Board division Human Resources, Corporate Culture and Legal Affairs will in future be headed by Elisabeth Ewen, previously Director of Human Resources at the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft. And Dr. Sandra Krey will be responsible for Finance and Controlling. She comes from MAN Truck & Bus SE, where she was most recently Senior Vice President Accounting & Financial Processes. The new members of the Executive Board of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft will take office as soon as possible, as soon as the contract negotiations with the Senate and the Federal Ministry of Education and Research have been successfully concluded.
