The 22nd edition of the French industry event BATTERIES 2020 is scheduled to take place from October 7 to 9. The four-day event will be held in Lyon, at the Marriott Lyon Cité Internationale congress center. Two tutorials will take place on October 6 as a prelude. More than 20 exhibitors and 50 conference speakers are expected. Ten partner companies, including two media companies and the Aachen-based device manufacturer Digatron, have confirmed their participation.
The event has existed since 1999, initially under the name 'Batteries 1999'. It is organized by the French market research and consulting company Avicenne Energy, which was founded in 1992. Among other things, Avicenne publishes the annual report 'The Worldwide Rechargeable Battery Market'.
It covers all aspects of the circular economy for batteries, including research and development, new materials and technologies, manufacturing issues, the use of batteries in practice and safety regulations, as well as market trends in innovation and new regulations on the environment and recycling. In this way, the event aims to distinguish itself alongside a whole series of similar European and global events on battery technologies and energy storage systems.
BATTERIES 2020 will bring together international key players among battery manufacturers and researchers as well as end users and recyclers to provide a professional overview of the entire value chain. Current and future battery technologies (lead-acid, NiMH, Li-ion, post Li-ion) and their applications will be discussed, explains Christophe Pillot, Managing Director of Avicenne Energy. -wsch-
