Dedicated to high-tech electronics for 25 years

SK-tronic was founded in Magdala, Thuringia, in 1997. The then sole proprietorship started with two employees and two customers to support product developers with electronics production. Since then, the assembly company has expanded continuously and celebrated its 25th anniversary in December last year.

PCB assembly has been the core business of the Thuringian company from the very beginning. The company's founders focused on quality from the outset. SK-tronic achieved ISO 9001 certification as early as 2001. Over time, the tasks became more complex and varied. SK-tronic therefore installed an ERP system in 2007. Even production and procurement processes for highly complex assemblies could now be carried out reliably and on time.

The company made a further leap in 2011 with the transition from stencil printing to jet printing, a highly flexible and universally applicable technology for solder paste application. In 2011, due to growth and the inevitable increase in investment, the company converted from a partnership to a limited company.

In 2015, the company moved to a new location just a stone's throw away from the old one and, in line with market developments at the time, the equipment fleet was modernized and expanded with the start of SMD line production, the introduction of selective soldering and the integration of coating technology.

In the meantime, the company has grown to 40 employees and supplies around 100 customers from the industrial and medical technology sectors. The concept of the company building and the construction on the enlarged site offer opportunities for expansion. The focus is on expanding production capacity, converting the energy supply to solar technology and implementing an ERP system that is suitable for growth. In terms of promoting young talent, SK-tronic will offer its own apprenticeships for the two professions of 'electronics technician for devices and systems' and 'industrial electronics technician' from 2023 in order to attract skilled workers in the long term.
