DEKRA is expanding its Cyber Security business field to include the testing of devices for the Internet of Things (IoT) in accordance with the ioXt standard. DEKRA operates one of the first laboratories to be officially recognized by the ioXt Alliance to test products for conformity with the ioXt security specifications.
The ioXt Alliance is an association of manufacturers, industry associations and public institutions to develop and establish common standards and test procedures for cyber-secure IoT devices. The ioXt certification program is intended to confirm to market participants that the manufacturer complies with the agreed security standards.
DEKRA's ioXt laboratory in Málaga, Spain, is approved for several product groups: Android devices, smart speakers, cameras, lighting, automotive consumer electronics, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) and household appliances.
