The n.jet soldermask is an inkjet system that prints solder masks contactlessly and digitally. The inkjet printing process replaces a number of conventional process steps, is extremely easy to maintain, reduces waste water and energy consumption and thus makes electronics production more ecological and economical. Furthermore, inkjet technology can be used to create structures that open up new possibilities in PCB production.
Elekonta Marek sees the potential of inkjet printing of the soldermask and purchased another Notion Systems n.jet soldermask inkjet system from distributor ASS Luippold, which sells Notion Systems products in Europe.
"By investing in an inkjet system from Notion Systems, we are expanding our technical and technological possibilities in PCB production and are consistently pursuing the path of digitalization. We are impressed by the possibilities that can be realized with inkjet technology," says Lars Presche, Managing Director of Elekonta Marek.
Frank Tinnefeld, Sales Manager at ASS Luippold, adds: "The order from Elekonta shows that additive manufacturing is finding its way into PCB production and that leading companies are investing in promising technologies even in difficult times."
Both companies will work very closely together to further develop the processes in order to further establish inkjet printing in the PCB industry.
