Expansion of PCB production in Spain and Portugal

On October 31, the globally active Swedish PCB specialist NCAB acquired the entire share package of the Spanish manufacturer Electronic Advanced Circuits S. L., based in Madrid. The transaction is expected to be completed in November 2023.

Electronic Advanced Circuits was previously a small company with just two employees and a current annual turnover of the equivalent of 19 million Swedish kronor (SEK). The customer base mainly consists of telecom and industrial companies. Sourcing comes from manufacturing partners in China, and the NCAB Group has also had a rather limited reach in Spain to date, with 13 employees and annual sales of SEK 75 million in 2022. By exploiting synergy effects in the area of suppliers and logistics, this position is set to expand significantly next year. The NCAB Group is also setting up a subsidiary in Portugal and has established the NCAB Group Portugal with new specialist personnel from the PCB manufacturing sector. Benjamin Klingenberg, VP of NCAB Europe, explains: "With these two strategic moves, we are acquiring highly specialized and experienced staff to complement our current human resources. They will play a key role in our continued growth and expansion of our network. The Iberian Peninsula is of increasing interest to the European electronics market." NCAB offers printed circuit boards and prototypes for series production with zero defect status from sustainable production with guaranteed delivery reliability. The portfolio ranges from multilayer, flexible, rigid and semi-flex to IMS, HF and HDI PCBs. NCAB is represented locally in 16 countries in Europe, Asia and North America. Turnover in 2022 amounted to 440 million dollars.
