Fast insights with new R&S oscilloscope

With an updated user interface, larger 15.6-inch full HD touchscreen and intuitive operating logic, the R&S RTO6 digital oscilloscope in the 6 GHz class simplifies everyday measurement tasks. With an effective number of bits (ENOB) of 9.4, an update rate of one million waveforms per second, powerful digital trigger and responsive, deep memory, it supports developers in all industries. it supports developers in all industries.

RTO6 is available in six versions with bandwidths from 600 MHz to 6 GHz and sampling rates of 20 Gsample/s. It is a fully integrated test solution for time and frequency domain, protocol and logic analysis. Signals can be dragged and dropped to different locations on the screen. The App Cockpit provides access to all applications of the oscilloscope.

A low-noise front end and single-core A/D converter with extremely low linearity error ensure high signal integrity with an interference-free dynamic range of 65 dBc. Further signal details can be revealed in high-definition mode. This increases the vertical resolution to 16 bit with digital filtering, resulting in sharper measurement curves and lower noise. As a result, the RTO6 achieves unprecedented trigger sensitivity and can isolate even the smallest signal details. Mask tests can be used to detect signal anomalies within defined tolerance limits. Zone triggers can be used to graphically isolate events in both the time and frequency domain.

The R&S RTO6 series offers more than 90 measurement functions grouped into amplitude and time measurements, jitter, eye diagram, histogram and spectrum measurements. In addition, application-specific software options are available that can be activated via keycode: Triggering and decoding of serial protocols, conformance testing of high-speed digital interfaces, jitter and power analysis, as well as spectrum, power, TDR/TDT and signal analysis. With a broad feature set, RTO6 covers EMC debugging and spectrum analysis, automotive Ethernet testing, serial bus analysis, power electronics testing and digital design.
